Four Flower Products You Can't Live Without
I have been dabbling in floral design for almost 8 years now and I can tell you I have tried a lot of different things to make my life easier and my flowers last longer. So I thought I would share the four items that I am always sure to have in my floral design arsenal.
A good pair of floral shears.
Not all floral shears and pruners are created equal, but you also don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to get a good pair. These found on Amazon are just over $5 and are perfect for cutting shrubbery as well as the most delicate of floral stems. Snag a pair here!
Thorn stem strippers for the win.
If you aren’t using thorn strippers to remove the leaves and thorns off your roses you are doing it wrong! These by Garden Party are my absolute favorite on the market. They are also hard to come by these days, so if you find a pair keep them close to the cuff.
Finishing Spray
finishing spray is typically sprayed on your arrangement upon completion. it helps hydrate from the inside out. My favorite is Crowning Glory. Simply hold it about twelve to fourteen inches away from your arrangement and spray. its like hairspray for your flowers!
Books for design inspiration
Even though I have doing flowers as a professional for quite some time, I still love to be insired by other designers. I also love to support other deigners hard work. And what better way then buying thier books! This book by Designers Putnam and Putnam is one of my favotires.
